Drivers in downtown San Jose share the streets with pedestrians, buses and trolleys, so please be alert to the signs.

tip: Many streets have pedestrian traffic, so please drive at a safe speed.
tip: Some streets are one-way, and turns may be restricted at intersections traversed by the VTA Light Rail, so please observe traffic signs.
tip: In many garages, you drive on the left hand side of the ramps instead of the right. Don't be surprised. Watch for the signs.
tip: All lots and garages are well marked with entry and exit signs. Pay close attention for the best way to enter and exit a garage.
tip: Parking compliance officers frequently patrol downtown streets in an effort to encourage turnover of these premium parking spaces.
